The Benefits of Remedial Massage therapy...

Remedial Massage can be successful in the prevention and treatment of recent and long standing persistent injuries, pain and soreness. By applying deep tissue massage, it helps break down scar tissue and post injury adhesions.

This type of therapy usually gives immediate results for the client, particularly with reduced pain and improved range of movement along with a feel good factor.

Need more information on these conditions? ... See below ...

Tennis elbow – is tendon inflammation caused by overusing forearm muscles. It is also known as lateral epicondylitis

Golfers elbow – this is a similar condition to tennis elbow, but presents as pain on the inside of the arm. It is also known as medial epicondylitis

Tight hamstrings and or quads – this is a very common complaint and can be caused by many things. This is often connected to knee and back pain

Back Pain – many people suffer from back pain in some form, but there is no need to simply just 'put up with it'. Because of the many muscles connecting to the back, other areas such as the pelvis or muscles including quads or hamstrings can contribute to the pain. It is often the case that immediate improvement and reduction of pain after treatment can be experienced

Stiff neck – the causes of this complaint can be similar to that of back pain. In other words, it is not always the neck itself which is the issue. Discomfort and tension in the shoulder for example, can be the causes. Again, immediate improvement and reduction of pain can be experienced

Shoulder pain – this is a common which is usually linked to posture. Stress is also a cause of this complaint

Groin strain - More common with athletes and is caused by any type of forecful movement of the leg. This is treated by reducing the pain and improving range of leg movement which in turn, speeds up the recovery process

Foot pain – this type of pain can cause us to change our walking or running style which can in turn, trigger muscle imbalance and joint pain

Piriformis syndrome – this muscle can often present as a sciatic pain. Due to its location in the buttocks and being close to the sciatic nerve, spasms cause pain similar to sciatic pain, numbness or tingling through the buttock area and down the back of the leg, sometimes reaching as far as the foot

Sciatica – basically this is pain due to compression or irritation of the sciatic nerve. This can present similar symptoms to that of Piriformis syndrome (above)

Bad posture – this is a very common issue. Bad posture usually leads to some sort of muscular dysfunction. The longer the dysfunction is left untreated, other muscles activate more to compensate which in turn, can cause a different kind of pain. This creates a vicious circle effect

Frozen shoulder – this usually is a restriction of the shoulder and can be caused by many things. Usually there is joint inflammation but can also be due to muscle tension or a ligament imbalance.
